A Pass in X STD State Board / Matriculation / CBSE is the basic qualification for obtaining admission in a polytechnic college.

Scholarships & Fee Concessions

The Backward Class Welfare Scholarship, the Adi Dravidar Welfare Scholarship, the National Loan Scholarship, the State Loan Scholarship, a few merit scholarships, and full and half fee concessions are awarded for the eligible students.

Procedure for Completing the Courses

All diploma courses are conducted for 3 year duration. Candidates will be permitted to proceed from one semester to the next higher semester only if they satisfy the regulations relating to the eligibility to appear for the Board Examinations in the semester concerned.

Criteria for a Pass in Board Examinations in Each Subject of Theory, Drawing & Practical

A candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination in a subject if he / she secure not less than 40% in theory and drawing subjects and 50% in practical examinations.

Regarding first year syllabus for each subject 25 marks are allotted for internal assessment and 75 marks are allotted for Board Examinations.
